The Aston Martin F1 Factory is a new state of the art 400,000 square feet (37,000m2) facility, which includes wellness enhancements for all staff including a new gymnasium, access to personal trainers and fitness programmes, and extensive walking and cycling trails within the campus grounds. This is also the most sustainable campus F1 has ever seen. The fabric of the building has been designed to operate smarter, reducing energy usage wherever possible: it features increased insulation, an abundance of natural lighting and is served by air-sourced heat pumps. This contributes to a carbon footprint reduction of 278 tonnes per year.
More than 72,000 square metres of wild meadow and the planting of 1,500 trees have enhanced the surrounding natural environment. Rainwater capture and extensive state-of-the-art monitoring systems mean we minimise water usage on site. Twenty per cent of the facility’s reduced energy needs will be met by solar panels on site. Even the forklifts will be electric.
